A Pretty Bedtime Treat...

While dishing up some lime sherbert- (I know it doesn't have an "r" in it, but I've always spelled it that way & it feels weird to do it differently)- tonight for my 2 little princesses, I noticed how simply lovely the color was. For some reason, at that moment, I felt inspired. And, I know if I didn't tell you it was lime sheRbert, you'd think it was mashed potatoes & the color had gone wonky on my computer....
Maybe I'll have to play around with different ice creams & sheRberts & snap some photos for....a set of notecards perhaps! Ooh, that would be fun!
The color was so subtle & beautiful. It really was. And my girls & I ate it all up...

  1. Hey,
I just have to say I really love your pictures on your blog! any pointers?
If I gave my boys ice cream in the evening, I'd never get them to sleep!lol

  2. Oh, I'm so glad you like them!! Well, I just got a new camera for my birthday. It's a Kodak EasyShare C663. And one thing I learned is to use the "macro" setting for closeups. I am a nerd--I didn't use it on my last camera. It's a setting with the "flower" symbol on a lot of cameras. And the next best thing I learned is to use as much natural light as you can. I either go outside when it's overcast--not too bright & not in the shade. Or, a lot of my pics are taken right by a window in my dining room which gets lots of light. Natural light! No flash! (Eventually I'd like to get a set up with big bright white lights so I don't have to wait until daylight to take my pics :-)
I take tons of pictures of my "scene" & load it up into my computer & use the tools make it look even better. Mostly I have to brighten the "exposure", but that's about it. I might crop here & there. But mostly I use the computer to resize. Hope that helps! But, the more you take pictures, the more you'll get used to what works for your camera & your style, etc....

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. Every time you do, I do a little happy dance. For reals.
